Morgan McNeely

morgan mcneelyHello~ My name is Morgan McNeely and I am originally from the south suburbs of Chicago. I graduated from Indiana University in 2008 with a BA in Speech and Hearing Science. Shorty after graduation I began working as a Life Skills Coach at the Chicago Autism Academy. After a few months of employment, I found my calling and decided to go back to school to earn my masters degree in Special Education. With my degree I have worked as an in-home behavioral therapist as well as a special education teacher at the Kings Daughter’s Autism Center.

Aside from my educational and work background, I enjoy the outdoors, being active, and love the water. During college, I was a head swim coach for a competitive age group swim team from ages 5-18. Coaching and teaching a wide array of children has taught me how to attend to large groups of children, keep calm, communicate effectively, be patient, and keep matters under control.

I have chosen a career path dedicated to working with children and their families because I am passionate about helping and teaching others. I truly believe I was given a gift to work with children and I look forward to meeting and serving your family.
