Marilyn Romero
Hello, my name is Marilyn Romero, and I have been in the Child Care Industry for over 9 years. I am married with four beautiful children of my own (Alexis 10, Dominic 9, Leila 7, and Cannan 4). I love doing arts and crafts, Angels baseball, and relaxing on the beach. Parenthood is a great challenge and I believe we learn every day from our children as well as try to guide them down the correct path. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine and a career field that is more rewarding than one can imagine. I love learning from each kid I get the pleasure of meeting and watching them grow and learn day by day.
Over the past 9 years I have had a great deal of experience working with kids through a state funded day care center up to my current position of working with kids with Autism. I have over 60 credits of Early Childhood Education through the College of The Desert and am currently CPR and have received special training for kids with needs. I have spent 6 years working in a state funded day care, where we have to not only provide activities and a curriculum to the children but also create and maintain documented progress on each child. During my current position I work with children that have been diagnosed with Autism and helping them achieve milestones set for by the state.
I look forward to both continuing my education and working with children to help them develop and grow, while simultaneously continuing to learn from each and every child I meet as they help me become a better person by continually teaching me new ways.
