Jennifer Kowarsky

Jennifer KowarskyHello my name is Jennifer. I am a psychology graduate and children’s yoga instructor. I now work primarily with preschool-age children but have also tutored and mentored children in grades one through six.

I worked full-time while completing my undergraduate coursework in psychology, and graduated summa cum laude from Cal Poly Pomona in 2009. I currently teach at the McCarthy Family Child Development and Training Center, and i am working toward obtaining Site Supervisor certification in Early Childhood Education. I plan to start with family childcare and possibly later to direct a larger facility.

I now possess the knowledge and experience to provide children with fun and meaningful experiences while in her care and company. I feel it is important to take the time to talk with and listen to what children have to say. I believe children are full of invaluable insight, and that they grow and thrive developmentally when given ample opportunity to openly share what they think and feel. I believe that being a patient listener and a true friend to a child is also a great way to gain his or her respect. I have found that this helps to ensure that children are responsive to my guidance, and that they play fun but stay safe all the while!

In my free time, I enjoy journaling and writing quirky poems and short stories; reading witty books on human nature; exercising; healthy cooking and dining; spending time with her two lovely and talented nieces; and planning trips across town, cross-country, and hopefully soon oceans away!
